What "Know Your Customer" means
Know Your Customer (KYC) is the standard process by which a financial service confirms that a client is a real, identifiable person, and that the information provided at registration is accurate.
At Soveregin Rendholt level, our KYC process involves obtaining and validating essential information about you: your complete legal name, birth date, country where you live, ways to contact you, and the payment method you plan to utilize. We then cross-reference the information provided in your registration form against the documentation you submit.
What we do not do
We will not solicit your internet banking credentials, complete card security code, or device access permissions. Our staff will never ask for these items under any circumstances. If you receive such a request, it is fraudulent and should be reported using the dedicated report form.
Your obligations
- Furnish truthful, recent and thorough details, and maintain accuracy of such information.
- Use only your own funds and your own payment instruments - never someone else's.
- Keep one account only, and keep your credentials private.
- Respond to document requests within the timeframe stated in the request.
- Notify us without delay if your country of residence, legal name or payment method changes.
- Immediately communicate any indication of unlawful access attempts to your account.
Furnishing forged or modified documentation constitutes a grave violation. This will result in account termination and, where mandated by law, reporting to the appropriate regulatory body.
Which documents are accepted
We ask for up to three categories of document. Files should be colour images or PDFs, fully in frame, unedited, with all four corners and all text legible.
1. Identity document
A government-issued document that shows your photograph, full name, date of birth, document number and expiry date. Commonly accepted types are a passport, a national identity card, or a driving licence where it is issued as a photographic identity document. The document must be valid and not expired.
2. Proof of address
An up-to-date document, typically produced within the preceding several months, containing your name and home address exactly as registered in your account. Common acceptable documents include utility bills, statements from banks or credit card issuers, official communications from tax authorities or local government, or formal correspondence from a government body. Mailing addresses and third-party residential addresses cannot be used.
3. Proof of payment method
Evidence that the funding instrument belongs to you. For a card, that is normally an image of the card showing your name, the first six and last four digits and the expiry date, with the remaining digits and the security code covered. For a transfer from a bank account, that is a statement or confirmation in your name showing the account identifier. For an electronic wallet, a screenshot of the account profile showing your name and the account identifier.
Formats and file size
Upload limits, accepted file types and any additional document requests are shown in the verification area of your account. Documents in a language other than the account language may require a translation; the compliance team will tell you if that applies.
How long a check takes
Properly completed applications typically undergo review within several hours to one or two business days. Submissions requiring further examination, translation services or supplementary documentation may require additional time.
Review times depend on volume, on the quality of the uploads and on whether any additional screening is triggered. The processing window that applies to your account, together with the current status of each document, is shown in your account area - that published figure is the one to rely on, not any figure quoted elsewhere.
- Clear, complete, unedited uploads are reviewed fastest.
- Applications received outside regular business hours are queued and processed during the next business day.
- Enhanced review, where required, adds time and is communicated to you.
Ongoing transaction monitoring
Verification is not a one-time event. Accounts and transactions are monitored for as long as the relationship lasts.
What is monitored
Funding and withdrawal patterns, changes of payment instrument, changes of country or contact details, activity that does not match the profile you gave at sign-up, and any activity flagged by our screening tools.
What can happen as a result
- A request for updated documentation or clarification regarding the origin of your finances.
- A temporary hold on a specific transaction while it is reviewed.
- Adjustment of the limits published in your account.
- Restriction or closure of the account where the law requires it.
Records
Personal identification records and transactional data are preserved for the duration mandated by law following account closure, and are administered consistent with our Privacy Policy. In certain circumstances the law prevents us from telling a client that a report has been made.
Why a check can be rejected
A denial typically stems from a documentation issue, not an assessment of your character. Most cases succeed on resubmission of corrected documentation.
| Reason | How to fix it |
|---|---|
| Image blurred, cropped or glare-covered | Re-shoot in daylight, flat on a dark surface, all four corners visible. |
| Document expired | Upload a currently valid document. |
| Information provided does not correspond with the registered account details regarding identity or date of birth | Correct the account details, or explain a legal name change with supporting proof. |
| Documentation proving residency is outdated or registered under a different name | Provide a recent qualifying document issued to you at your registered address. |
| Payment method belongs to a third party | Use an instrument in your own name - third-party funding is not accepted. |
| Document contains alterations, has been trimmed to obscure content, or is a digital image of a display | Submit an unmodified original image or PDF. |
| Residence in an excluded jurisdiction | The account cannot be established; consult our licensing information for further details. |
If a decision is unclear to you, contact support and ask for the reason. Where the law permits us to explain, we will.
What "anti-money laundering" means
Anti-money laundering (AML) encompasses the compliance framework and procedures that financial institutions implement to ensure their systems cannot be exploited for transferring criminal assets, supporting unlawful conduct, or concealing the actual source of money.
AML controls are broader than a one-off identity check. They cover risk classification of new accounts, sanctions and politically-exposed-person screening, limits on unusual funding patterns, record keeping, internal escalation of suspicious activity and, where the applicable law requires it, reporting to the competent authority.
Where AML rules and a client instruction conflict, the AML rules take priority. That can mean a delayed transaction, a request for additional documents, or a restricted account until the matter is resolved.
The verification steps
- 01
Register
Register using your actual legal name, birth date, nation of residence, email address and phone number. The primary reason for verification delays is discrepancies between submitted information and supporting documentation.
- 02
Confirm contact details
Confirm your email address and, where requested, your phone number. This proves the contact channels belong to you.
- 03
Upload your identity document
Provide the document pages containing your likeness and personal information. Certain verification procedures involve a brief identity confirmation or photograph check to authenticate that the document belongs to the person presenting it.
- 04
Upload proof of address
Upload a recent qualifying document in your name at the address on file.
- 05
Confirm the payment method
Provide proof of the instrument you will use to fund and to receive withdrawals.
- 06
Screening and review
The verification department examines the submission, conducts required watchlist checks and background reviews, and subsequently either authorizes the account or requests modifications.
- 07
Confirmation
You will be notified when there is a change in your account status. The status can be reviewed at any time in your account's verification section.
Why verification is required
- 01
Legal obligation
Platforms that maintain or handle customer assets are legally obligated to verify customer identities prior to service delivery. This requirement is mandatory and applies universally to all accounts with no exemptions.
- 02
Protecting your money
Account verification establishes a connection between an account and a single verified individual. This significantly reduces the likelihood of unauthorized account access and ensures that funds are only withdrawn to payment methods confirmed as belonging to you.
- 03
Keeping the platform clean
Screening keeps sanctioned parties and anonymous shell activity off the platform, which protects every other client using it.
- 04
Faster payouts later
An account verified up front does not have to stop for checks at withdrawal time, which is when delays are least welcome.
Where to ask questions
If anything on this page is unclear, or you want to know the exact status of your own verification, ask us before uploading again.
Who reviews my documents?
A trained compliance reviewer. Files are stored on restricted systems, and access is limited to staff who need it for the check.
Can I start before I am verified?
You can register and explore the account, but funding, trading and withdrawals depend on the verification status published in your account.
Do I have to verify again later?
It is possible. Documentation validity periods expire, living situations change, and routine verification updates are standard practice under AML regulations. We will notify you when an update is required.
How do I contact the compliance team?
Use the contact route on our contact page and mention "KYC" or "verification" in your message, together with the email address on your account. Please do not send document images by unsecured channels - upload them in the account area instead.
Get verified once, cleanly
Three factors account for the majority of processing delays: unclear photographs, expired address verification documents, and payment instruments registered under another person's name. Addressing these issues typically results in approvals on the initial attempt.
Need help with a document?
Our support team can tell you exactly which file was rejected and why.
- Check the verification area of your account first.
- Then contact support with your registered email address.
